DBX 286A Quickstart Guide

Al, I just saw your PT plug-ins comment on my wall (a little slow on the uptake, I guess). I would agree with the three you had up there and also have to add Gain, Time Compression, BF De-Esser and BF Expander. While I don't often use these, they have come in very handy on occasion. Perhaps, more in my role as Sound Designer, but once in a while as a Voice Talent, as well. Also, if you are mastering a demo reel, I highly suggest downloading and using the Maxim plug-in. It is awesome ... and now it's free! (Used to cost over $400!)

Hello Alton,
I apologize that this note of thanks is so late. I haven't been on VU since May due to my hectic schedule with VOICE 2010, but now that it's over, I have time to go on-line again. So I thank you for the birthday wishes. It was very sweet of you.

Hey Alton
This was so difficult for me I had to get a helping hand from an audio engineer.
I actually use a digi 003 so a little more complex than the mbox which I started with a few years back. I will have to follow up with you but suffice to say you have to have good seperation and if you have experienced the distortion in the headsets while recording with a client on the other end ...well it sux! Anyway let me get back to you after I have gone back through the system to remember what was done.
