Join us for a series of Dialects classes with Doug Honorof PhD. Once a year Doug comes out West to teach his Dialects classes at Voice One. In these challenging and fun classes you'll learn the tools for mimicking all the world's languages and dialects - an extremely useful tool to have in your toolbox.
You'll be guided through all the sounds of the world's languages, master reference vowels, lexical sets and other tools for picking up accents in a hurry and sustaining them.
Doug will coach you individually and in groups on accents from Southeast of England as you learn RP, London and Estuary, plus Northern Cities (U.S.), Metro NY, Southern, Mountain, Irish and East Asian accents. You’ll receive dozens of reference charts and scores of sound files to mimic.
Articulatory Flexibility: Jun 2-3 Thu/Fri 6:30pm-9:30pm
Dialects 1: Jun 4-5 Sat/Sun 10am-5pm
