To answer your question about The effects on the word "angrier"... I return my mic to 4 different faders, through different outboard gear. I ad FX on the fly, pushing them up as needed. That one is straight mic mixed with a small amount of pitch... about 30 cents. The technique saves me time on post when I have 50 markets to service on a national on-sale. and that was the short answer. :)
Hi Deby! Loved your comments in the Radio Group about dreams. No wonder Freud was able to make a career out of the subject; the human mind is absolutely fascinating! Ouch, thinking this much makes my tiny walnut-sized brain hurt.
I got a chuckle out of you mind over matter thing. When I'm dieting, I always say "Mind over platter" (smile)
I got a phone call from Canada earlier today....ofcourse I was in the bathroom....I wonder if it had something to do with my Sara Palin impersonation.....oh wait that's alaska.
who in the world could be calling me from Calgary????
Debbie, I know it's frustrating when clients don't stick to their guns, or give us mixed signals, bad feedback and so many other things. It's all part of what frustrations we all have to contend with in the VO world of work and not just play. I feel your pain and I'm going through lots of see-sawing and even talents that don't respond to casting notices in a timely manner.........I just have to chant that mantra, "Mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." I know this is not a truism but it may help that water roll of the duck's back a bit.
Best of luck to you and I hope you like that Mic.
