Yes I am one of a kind... ;-) Anyway it's a good topic for discussion, don't you agree? I personally prefer people who are 'interesting' rather than just 'nice'. But it sometimes funny how far people will go to erase themselves. So let's not fall into into that trap...
Interesting how ideas can come inside you and eventually become your own. You process them and then you feel they really came from within yourself. Then, the more you think of it, the urge to take action grows. You realize ideas CAN become reality, and once you made room in your mind for that, it goes really fast from there. Isn't that a wonderful feeling?
The only relation that I know of who bore the name Melamed was my uncle David, who was a movie executive for many years, and passed away a few years ago. His sons, my cousins, now live in Nashville and Hawaii. I do have some other relatives out your way, but with different surnames. I know another Vida, but I presume she is no relation!
Hope to meet you one off these happy days.
All the very best,
Another idea is to also make a dual-language reel. Take small bits of farsi text, translate them and record them after another, alternating. Cover different apects. This will show both sides you are fluent both ways. Let me know when u have the recordings on your page here, I can recommend you to clients I have in the US that does global localization. If you like, of course.
His technique is completely different from anyone else. You usually do a scene with a partner so I guess that's cold. But you have the option of bringing audition material, monologue or work on scenes longer than just a cold read. Rick Walters at Theatrecraft. His classes are Tues and Thurs 12:45p--3 or 4pm whenever we finish.
