You say, "Yes!", but your voice says, "No!"

It happens sometimes. You are so ramped up to do a vo, but your voice decides not to co-operate! It folds its arms and suddenly becomes stubborn and there's absolutely nothing you can do to coax it out of it's stranglehold. That happened to me yesterday as I had a 64 page script to voice. Take, after take, after take.... Omigosh! What was I going to do?! To win the battle, I had to surrender. Yes, that's right! I had to surrender; I waved the little white flag. I had to rest. So, I signed the Peace Treaty with my voice and kept my mouth shut. This morning, I approached the microphone and knocked the script out without a very supportive and happy voice. So... keep your voice happy by pampering it with some quiet time every now and then so it will fight beside you rather than against you.
If you have read this far, then I want to share an old, old secret with you that you may or may not know about. You can help protect your voice by drinking a special potion that has been around since 400 BC. It will help keep you healthy, promote good sinus passages, and good breath, and many, many other things. Interested? Here is the secret: Mix a teaspoon of natural, organic, dark, raw honey and one or two teaspoons of natural, organic, raw apple cider vinegar. Dilute with some water and drink it down. The honey and vinegar MUST BE NATURAL, ORGANIC, and RAW...... not pasteurized. Sterilization kills all of the beneficial enzymes necessary for the elixir to work, so make sure you get the natural, organic, raw honey and vinegar. What this does is it helps to keep your body alkaline. If you cringe when you first drink this, then you are probably acidic, which isn't good for your health. I cringed when I first started... boy did I cringe. However, after 2 weeks, the drink is actually very pleasant and enjoyable even! This is one way you know you are now 'alkaline'. As with anything, consult your doctor. This is just my testimonial and how it personally worked for me. I can tell you, it has made a big difference.

Here's to your health,
James

Nectar of the gods, well the honey at least.
I still can't figure how drinking acid (vinegar) can make alkaline... ?? :|
Whatevr, it is a great tonic & overall boost energy-wise.

Yeh, I go with healthy intake too. Wheat may be problematic - wheezy breathing. Shall be glad of the vinegar potion next time the neighbour's dogs start out-yapping me. If I shout back, that's my throat gone for ten minutes. Maybe the remedy would be to throw the potion at the dogs. Only joking.

I enjoy mine cold! Very refreshing! Yes, Sini, it is rather stout to begin with... but after 2 or 3 weeks it become a nice and desirable drink!

yum yummm - went straight out & picked up the components (we here in England are very well catered for on the wholefoods front - ample stock).
The first few days was like drinking poison - possibly as I hadn't diluted it so much.. honestly, my face was still in a grimace a couple of hours later - & what stink!
but now, it actually is rather pleasant, better diluted with warm/hot water
an overall tonic definitely - have noticed an impact on my general energy levels.
fyi - am sure you already know this but just in case, apples & thus apple cider vinegar contains malic acid which does all sorts of stuff including enable more accurate absorption of nutrients - heard an article also ages ago that it was being used on people with ..umm, what do they call that extreme fatigue ailment... umm, can't remember.
So, there, anyway - cheers everyone!

I tried it this morning with raw honey but I haven't been able to find the raw vinegar. Perhaps I'll have to make my own? :) Anyway I didn't find it disgusting at all; it was a bit like kombucha.

I'm interested in hearing from people who try it; did it make a difference?

I have also found this little perk on another quest, but excellent to know it's wonderful for the voice. They say that nature provides, so who's to argue?

Yeah. After 2 or 3 weeks it becomes very nice, like a refreshing fruit drink. It really surprised me too at how well it has worked. My wife and I believe it has benefited us although your results may differ. I chatted with my doctor, who is a good friend, about this "Eastman Elixir" and he said with a boyish grin, "If you believe it is working for you, then by all means keep on. James, you are as healthy as a horse!"

I said, "Doc, then that explains the bridle my wife put on me! Can it be removed?"

LOL - I hope you are having similar health results and especially finding it as an aid for your voice. ~ James
