Only a handful (if that many) are able to do commercials, narrations, trailers, animation and be pretty good impressionists... Tom Kane is the that guy.

Side bar: Other than being such a great guy, Tom Kane is a newly adoptive dad of Logan & Landon.

Thanks to Bob Souer and Dan Nachtrab for sending.

I really appreciated this video. I love hearing people's stories of how they got to where they are today. I particularly appreciate people who enjoy the biz, but are still personable and approachable. I demand the same from myself now and, particularly, once I'm in a position professionally like Tom. Thanks for sharing VU!

Last year, a friend referred me to Tom to talk about my fledgling VO career. At the time, I had no idea that Tom was so established and successful. He returned a phone message I left him and talked with me for about 45 minutes. Only after the call did I learn just what a force in this business he was and is! And yet, he took the time and effort to provide me with guidance, suggestions and advice. He is as you see in this video...and then some! No matter our successes, we should all be so gracious, self-effacing and down-to-earth!

Nice interview. It is true what he said about the ability to do impressions. People assume that an Impressionist can do anyone, but we are all limited by our range. Loved his stories too. Thanks for sharing.

I really enjoyed the video, but it was very difficult to hear Tom most of the time.

I guess that's how a lot of us boomers got started, good old mimicry!

Exactly what I want to do in my career! Sets a pretty high standard, don't he?

Wow! What a nice, down-to-earth, incredible guy. His facility with characters reminds me of one of my favorite teachers, Pat Fraley - another really inspirational person.
