You have heard of the placebo effect right? Well I believe negative words and negative environments can cause the same thing in a person’s life if they don’t identify the problem. A spouse a family member or friend can offer you bad advice that can hold you back from being successful. John F. Kennedy had a rather odd view of himself; he wasn’t very self confident- his brother Ted told his brother, who cares what you think! It’s what people perceive you to be. Lots of truth to that. Create a positive environment around you, surround yourself with positive people that can keep you motivated and connected to where the action is. Positive and success like each other. So keep a smile on your face, keep your eye on the ball and never stop growing into a successful business man or woman. Your perception of yourself is important, but what others think, is equally important

You are so right, Keith! We should all read this every mornig before we start our day. I know I should as it is so easy to be negative. Thanks for the inspiration. Carol Hahn

So true. I've always believed you are only as good as the company you keep. Good advice!

Perception is very important. Early in my radio career in Dallas, I was eager to start a billboard campaign for our new station. I discovered that in a major market, a good billboard campaign is implemented more for the perception of success to the potential advertiser than just a marketing tool to build listener cume.

Hi Keith ... how the heck are ya? ;o)

All good stuff and I would add this; Your perception of yourself is important and what others think of you is important, but to keep things in their proper order ... for me anyway ... is at the end of the day can I look in the mirror and know that the one looking back at me has done anything, said anything .. and to as great an extent as possible .. thought anything, that I wouldn't want done to me, said to me or thought about me.

Simple rule ............. some call it 'Golden'

The best thing you can do for yourself is work towards your dreams, love the people around you and NEVER forget where you came from and who helped you get to where you are today. There's nothing better than serving others because ultimately, you get the blessing!
