Do you Have a Nickname for your studio?

Don LaFontaine used to call his recording studio a "Hole" while others decide to bestow a slightly more endearing name to their place of voice preservation.

What have you decided to call yours?

Leave a comment here and I'll add it to the conversation already going on at VOX Daily. If you want to head over there now to read what others are saying click on this link.

Cheers,

Stephanie

Arriving awfully late for this topic, but I've been inspired to name my little baby! Um... um... Dang. The Great Orifice? Four Walls and a Mic Space? Talkbox, Cardioid Chamber, The Pop Stop? Until I decide, I'm sticking with "Closet full of Christmas decor, luggage and a microphone".

I call my studio... functional. That's about it. I try not to name too many inanimate objects in my life. Keeps things simpler. I also don't have to worry about offending the room or incurring its wrath by accidentally blurting out another room's name during our frequent liasons in the booth.

Philip, that is the BEST! I wondered about the Wee Huttie.

I've lived in Morayshire on the north east coast of scotland for around 6 years. The local dialect is called Doric and it takes a while to tune into this sound.

Fraser and Wendy have 5 children including twins Chloe and Charlotte. Every time the family visit the twins love to record themselves singing. The request to use my "broadcast standard audio recording facilities" is always the same.

"Philip, can we go in your Wee Huttie?" From the first time I heard this phrase my voice booth was renamed - The wee huttie

Mine is Dandysound. I'm Mandy, hubby is Dan, we met in our first audio class at Emerson college and long before we seriously dated we knew there would be a Dandysound.

I market Myself as the "VoiceoverChameleon" at TheVoiceoverChameleon.com and my email address is Tim@theVoiveoverChameleon.com ...so ...naturally ...I call my studio
"Chameleon Studios" (do you think I got enough plugs into that one run-on sentence?)
