I hope all is well with you. Sorry it has been a little while since I last updated my blog here at VU.
What have you been up to lately? Any good news you would like to share? Perhaps you've landed a huge gig of late that you can't wait to tell everyone about, that is, unless you've signed a non-disclosure agreement!
Regardless of where you've found success, I'd love to hear about it. If it was through Voices.com, I'd really love to hear about it… Continue

I thought I would take a moment to ask you what your favorite voice over related videos on YouTube are :)
If you have a top 10 list or a few that you could recommend, please comment and share them with the community on VU.
One of my personal faves has got to be Pablo Francisco parodying Don LaFontaine. I also love Voice Talkers, featuring Dave Foxx.
You can find both of those vids on YouTube through a keyword search here:…

There's been much talk of who will fill the void of our late friend, Don LaFontaine. Variety.com has speculated that it may be time for women to come to the fore and start kicking some butt in this arena.
I'm all for that and am also interested to hear which new male voices will rise to the occasion in this time of flux.
While honouring Don and his legacy is paramount, he would want us to embrace this change as he himself supported the idea of… Continue

Do you Have a Nickname for your studio?
Don LaFontaine used to call his recording studio a "Hole" while others decide to bestow a slightly more endearing name to their place of voice preservation.
What have you decided to call yours?
Leave a comment here and I'll add it to the conversation already going on at VOX Daily. If you want to head over there now to read what others are saying… Continue

This past week, Voice Over Experts hit 65 episodes.
I want to thank all of you for listening and subscribing over the past year. When we started this podcast in June of 2007, we kicked off our show with Marc Cashman, a gentleman who many of you know as Ask The Voice Cat through various publications including a blog hosted at Voices.com. Since then, he has been joined by a number of his colleagues and peers from around the world, giving back to the community in a very special and… Continue

Over the weekend we (David and I) were very fortunate to attend Pat Fraley's workshop at Chameleon Connections in Buffalo hosted by Toni Silveri of All Coast Talent.
It was the most fun I've had in a long time and I wanted to thank everyone for making our time at "The Silly, The Serious and The Subtle" a memorable and rejuvenating experience!
I'll be writing more about the workshop soon and hope you'll be reading on my blog VOX Daily.
Thanks again Pat, you're… Continue

I couldn't help but use the words of DC Goode to start this blog post off because they are so amazingly true, significant and befitting of the gentleman we are honoring today on the VOX Daily blog.
If you haven't been to read the article, the gentleman in question is Pat Fraley
, someone who has made an enormous impact on the voice over industry through his generosity and burning desire to share… Continue

Do you ever hear stories that make you drop your jaw and ponder the significance of what you have just heard?
Recently I had the privilege of interviewing a dear friend, Derek Partridge, who shared something that you would only dream up in the movies about his life and an astounding invitation that brought him an opportunity to bring closure to a 65 year-old mystery which has captivated thousands of people if not millions since 1943.
For those of you who are familiar with… Continue

Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking with J.D. Hall
and got to chat with him about his voice acting role as the grunting, growling and groaning persona of the Incredible Hulk.
It was a real pleasure and I hope you can take a couple of minutes to read about this gentleman's experiences and accomplishments.

Do you invest time in aspiring talent?
There are a lot of people who chat in forums and comment on blogs who are completely oblivious to the fact that they are changing lives and are perceived as mentors to those who are in need of guidance.
If you're adding to your community, you're paying it forward
Just a pat on the back to those of you who chime in, give reviews when… Continue

It's nearly lunch but I wanted to make sure I let you all know just how much I admire the discipline of voice actors and people who use their voices professionally on a daily basis.
Yesterday, I had an interview over the phone with my good friend Julie Williams, and man, did I ever have to prepare. No cheese, milk, no caffeine after lunch...
I love cheese. Dairy is a major of weakness of mine so to go without was pretty hard.
It's amazing how quickly one can… Continue
