- I have had an off & on career in radio spanning over 18 years and covering small to large market and various positions on & off air.
My interest in VO was initially peaked after first becoming a production guy for a station cluster. Mitch Faulkner & his crew at OMP were the standard bearers in my book for production and it planted a seed for voicing excellence.
After landing here in Chicago, I contacted venerable VO guy Lou Johnson (Big Lou) and he was very helpful in guiding me as I was exploring this new realm of opportunity at the time.
Years later, VO is still a learning propositon--perfecting the craft AND the marketing efforts that it takes to get frequent & steady work. It was only last year that I landed my first national radio spot for Organic Root Stimulator products, which ran very briefly. My dream is to voice an edgy, memorable TV spot that runs during the Super Bowl.
Nevertheless, my online radio show "Jazzpirations" continues on www.intunecable.com. It has been under a production hiatus, but it still is the best mix of smooth/inspirational jazz and features insightful celebrity/artist interviews and giveaways. Plus a powerful inspirational moment. The show is on-demand, available 24/7 for your listening convenience. Once on the site, just click on "Jazzpirations" and it will begin playing.
That's all for now. Looking and needing to work with and learn from any and all fellow VO artists. I am open to most any collaborative ideas and projects. In other words, I need some concrete, paid work ASAP! Oh, did I also mention that I do on-hold answering service VO's? I don't want to leave any possibility untapped!
