Well, what the gal said below me leaves something to debate...I never claimed they were the "be all end all" of how to succeed in the voice business,But....I DO know that quite a handful of talents on here, use them, even me.There are different paths you can take,Have a good demo of yourself to send off to potential talent agents,Start your own personal website to showcase your talent....or move to Los Angeles and hope and prey someone will discover you (just kidding).Since you live in the phillipines,it seems only logical to seek out an online p2p site. But,I would contact another VU member to get a second opinion and see how well they are fairing with voice 123,voices.com...etc.Hope this helps,Tom

HI-Here's the reality from a professional for over 20 years, and from a couple other veteran v.o. talents=voice 123 is a money eater. I have one ongoing job from them-that's it! a rip off with many, many auditions and the nerve to let these potential clients rate you as 'may use' 'won't use' 'top 3 considering' whatever...it's a joke..really, and that goes for most of these sites-they take our money! sad-but true!!

I have gotten a few gigs on voice123 and they are a good learning tool. However,I am really selective on what I audition for on there.I learned to stay away from "sound alikes",auditions that are not well written, and all those "low ball" jobs that expect a lot of copy read for little cash.It is a little frustrating when you don't get good feedback auditioning for a gig but for me,those are far in-between so I know that I have improved quite a bit. When you audition for a gig on there, just REALLY make it sure it is in your vocal parameter range, don't hesitate to holler back if you have any more questions...voice on! Brian
I saw that you were trying to find out about info about voices.com and voice123.com .with voices.com,you can pay month to month (about $39.00) and they send you a substantial amount of auditions but quite a few people audition for those same gigs. However,if you want to really learn and "cut your teeth" sorta speak in the voice business,I would go to voice123.com.You're going to have to pay abot 300 dollars to be able to audition.Just keep in mind that when you audition for gigs on voice123,the voice seekers use a "feedback" system on there that can be a little detrimental to you in getting future auditions so if you're going to audition, make sure it is something that you REALLY feel that you are capable of pulling off.Hope this helps and good luck to you!! Hi Brian,
Welcome to VU. You're in good company here!

I wish you the best of success in all your adventures! I'd love you to join my group Ask a Casting Director. There's a lot of useful info that might help you there.

I'm a Casting Director and experienced actor (4 octave range) for Video Games and more. It's a unique genre, unlike any other that requires a lot of differentiation in voices because there are so many parts with so few lines each. It requires a huge vocal repertoire. If you feel you're experienced as a voice actor with a lot of diverse and useable characters, and you can hit the ground running, you can go to my Talent Assessment page. Classes and coaching links are also there, if you'd like more instant help to get where you need to be to land those jobs.

Stay Super!
