HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
As most, my first venture into voice over work was radio. After leaving the on-air work, and moving into event, media, and creative development; I started to go back to my voice roots. For over 10 years now, I have voiced projects ranging from radio, to live events, narration etc...I'm still on both sides of the mic. Casting other voice talent, producing events, and creative media.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me a bit more about using Skype with Protools.
I see with a Protools session running and then launching Skype that my Skype client preferences has Audio choices for the Audio input to be Digidesign Mbox 2 Pro and Audio output to be Digidesign Mbox 2 Pro. Can you share what your Skype setting are and how you configured Protools I/O inputs and outputs for your Mixer tracks to go to Skype?
Would you be willing to share how your JK AUdio Phone Patch is set-up with your MBox? I have an MBox 2 Pro and want to set-up the MBox 2 Pro with Protools 8.0.3 to support a Telos One for a phone patch. I assume the JK Audio Hybrid and the Telos One would basically function the same way with Protools i.e. implementing a Phone Patch.
Tony: Thought it would be interesting to collect the top recommended Pro Tools plug-ins used by voiceover home studio users. My list would include: BNR, Normalize, and EQ 3. When you are putting your money where your mouth is, what plug-ins add real value? Share and enjoy! Al
Happy Summer Tony and if you feel adventurous...welcome to my realm!
I wish you the best of success in all your adventures! I'd love you to join my group Ask a Casting Director. There's a lot of useful info that might help you there.
I'm a Casting Director and experienced actor (4 octave range) for Video Games and more. It's a unique genre, unlike any other that requires a lot of differentiation in voices because there are so many parts with so few lines each. It requires a huge vocal repertoire. If you feel you're experienced as a voice actor with a lot of diverse and useable characters, and you can hit the ground running, you can go to my Talent Assessment page. Classes and coaching links are also there, if you'd like more instant help to get where you need to be to land those jobs.
Welcome to Voiceover Universe! You'll meet some old friends and make some new ones around here!
I hope you'll check out and join a group that we started not too long ago called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. With your experience, you would be a tremendous resource! Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!
Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
