I'm not sure what you mean when you say you'd like to "know some basics for the voiceover company"? Could you be more specific?
I write mainly feature articles for newspapers and magazines, and prmotional and advertising copy.
If you're not a Brit. how come you have the British flag over the shape of the State of Texas as the graphic for your page on VU?
Thank you so very much!
It's very nice to be here, and hopefully in the future i'll see you
P.S lol, my name actually originated from the Symphony chocolate bar. My mom thouhgt it was cute..
Thanks! I'm also a writer.
Now I'm curious about you. You're a fellow Brit - how do you find the VO biz here in the US? I've done some commercials, but, because of my accent and the type of voice I have I think my niche will be more towards narration, VOH, and I'd like to try some audiobook recording - although I know that's hard. (I did some volunteer audio book VO work for the blind, and It was extremely hard, but I enjoyed it). I could possibly do some commercials, but I think the opportunities are limited for a Brit. Have you found it so? Do you do local and regional commercials - how do you find these jobs? Do you have an agent(s)? Or do you book national jobs too?
Tell me something ab out yourself.
