HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I live in a rather warm sunny spot in Australia and my start in voiceovers came when I was working full time as a radio jock. My second day on the job I was called into the production studio and told "we need you to read this script".
From there it was hard-core on the job training reading scripts almost everyday for just under a decade. In that time I worked with a great variety of producers who gave me fantastic direction and feedback. I also moved into copywriting in a much similar fashion - "guess what, our copywriter just left and you're the new copywriter".
More on the job the training and ten years later I’m a full-time voice actor and freelance copywriter. Working for myself is only a recent thing, but I’ve taken the leap of faith and I’m not looking back!

Hi Shelley. Thanks for your reply! Nice to hear from you. I hope life settles down for you - if that's what you want! :-) Thanks for the feedback on my site. I actually came across your site when I was researching mine - love the name! Well, it's still early days for me and I'm still trying to get on people's radar here... tough nut to crack so far. I hope the voice over scene is being good to you!
lipsandink.com Excellent choice of URL. Nice site too.
I have a friend who lives in Brisbane provoking pangs of jealousy from me living in the rainy North West of England. Then she tells me about the bush fires, seasonal floods and wild creatures that like to invade her home and I think... hmmm!..
Hi Shelley -- The gig went extremely well. The people at the New York Organ Donor Network were amazing. it was a very fulfilling gig both acting-wise and spiritually. We stayed only 5 blocks from the offices so walked to "work" every day. Just blended in with the other New Yorkers.
I trust the Voiceover Universe experience has been good for you!
Also, I hope you'll check out and join a group that we recently started called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. With your experience, you would be a tremendous resource! Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
Hi Shelley -- Thanks for inviting me to connect. I was in New York last week for an acting gig and no matter how hard I tried, I just never got caught up with my e-mails before I left. So, though it's a couple of weeks after the fact, thanks for the invite.
