THIS IS SOMETHING I FOUND ON EBAY.. THERE IS A MAN LIVING IN STOCKTON CALIFORNIA THAT MAKES A SHOCKMOUNT WITH A BUILT IN POP FILTER. I HAVE MY AT4040 IN IT IN THIS PIC. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY SHURE KSM32. $35.00 IS ALL IT WAS AND IT SAVED ME FROM HAVING TO SPEND $130.00 OR MORE ON A SHURE SHOCKMOUNT. I THINK THIS IS A VERY COOL INVENTION.

Hi Matthew!

I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.

I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!

Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!

Best to ya!

Matt ( I can call you that now that we shared ),
Actually Kasey did send out heavy metal stars just like that as an invitation to join him and several hundred others when he had a star plunked into the sidewalk on Hollywood Blvd.
I soaked the whole package in water first for fear it was a bomb from one of my competitor vo's.
I kept the thing for years as a paper weight then tucked it away somewhere thinking it was a great weapon for a house robber to brain me with. I would hate to be killed by Kasey's star.
If I find it, I will sent it to you.

Matthew,
Nice torture chamber. Do I see a Kasem Krugerand on the table?
I spoke to Noel Blanc last week. I am working on trying to convince the SAG honorarium committee to present a Posthumous Life Achievement Award to Mel. Noel is gatheringinformation for me about Mel's charity work....an important cog in the requirements for such an award. A million credits and more fans doesn't seem to be enough.
If you get a chance, go to unionunderground.org and take a look at some short short films I produced. Love making movies.
Who knew?
Talk ta ya again.

We used SOUND BOARD. You can buy it at 84 Lumber. Also deck carpeting or perhaps you might use it for the inside of an automobile. I have a little bit of foam near my mic but nothing to the extent that you have. I have been told by people how QUITE my room is. Production folks specifically.

I'll look for that script from you too.

Thanks

Your right about building the studio yourself. That's what we did. My husband did most of the work 4 years ago when I was still doing mornings and we were building our house. If you have friends and family here then they may know my old morning show partner David Lawerence. He was on the air here for 30 years at the same station! I know...that doesn't happen anymore. I'm going to have dinner with him tonight and I'm excited because I haven't seen him in over a year.

Agent? Well it's not because I haven't tried. Well I take that back I've tried but wasn't happy with the way I was treated. You kind of know instinctivley when they just want to put you down on a laundry list of VO Talent and you may never hear from them again, and you are blocked out of that market and a 200 mile radius of that city. I had one recently that didn't even interview me. They just wanted to sign me up and charge me $25 to be on their website. The money wasn't a huge issue it's just I have never liked being a number. I want to know what their needs are and how I can fill the void they might currently have. That's the same approach that I have to my clients. So I guess you got the LLLLOOONNNGG answer to do you have an agent.
NO, But I plan on finding the right one someday.

It's great that you are out West. That's were all the work is. I've done a few for some companies in Burbank and Hollywood but I would love to have more.

That's it from here. I promise next time I will give you shorter answers. I'm just in a typing mood I guess.
Later
KC
