HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Early in my career I worked as a voice over artist for companies subcontracted by Disney to dub their existing animated movies and series into Arabic for the middle east disney channel. I worked on ducktales as the voice of Launchpad Mcquack in the full 100 some episodes of the series as well as the movies (or two... cant quite remember) I also did incidental characters and I did the voice of Mr. Scrooge's butler. I also worked on the little mermaid movie as incidental characters (things like the magic cave and sailor number 3) I also worked as a channel announcer for Disney Singapore for a short period of time in 1997. Later on in when I moved to canada I took a few courses at the Broadcasting Institute in toronto. I have narrated over 40 medical conference videos for companies like GlaxoSmithKline, Astrazeneca, Novartis and Bayer. Taji's New Project - Voiceover Buy & Sell

Morning Folks,

If you've read any of my older posts... you know I'm a closet workaholic... not so much that I like to work... I don't but rather I can't stop myself from going from project to project... I like to experiment. It often means that my projects end up being duds... but every once in a while something works out the way I'd like it to.

So during my last vacation I got the idea of this new project. I had promised myself that I would not do any work while on vacation... and I did lose… Continue

Invoicing: Online or Offline?

As voiceover artists we sometimes have to put on several occupational hats. From Social networking marketeers to accountants, to recording talents to sound engineers. You can't do everything but you can try to make some of the different aspects of the job easier with the right tools.

I don't know how it started but a f… Continue

Tips For Becoming Self-Employed Part II

So a couple of weeks have passed since I posted part one of this article which is:

Tips for Becoming Self-Employed & Staying That Way. but the fact remains that this is a pretty big subject and allot of good can be distilled from the Internet-Collective of thinkers and those-who-have-taken-that-path before us.

I'll start where we left off last time which is leaving the house at least once a day ... and tha… Continue

Tips For Becoming Self-Employed & Staying That Way

I've always been one to set goals for myself. When I was younger it was all about becoming a musician my list kind of looked like this:

  1. find a good band and get into it

  2. get some good songs written

  3. play your first gig

  4. play to a massive crowed

  5. ge

LOL. Well you do a great job of serving the VO community everywhere.

The UAE is moving slowly - mostly paperwork right now. Awaiting visa approval and we move in August inshallah.

Thanks for asking.

Hi Mahmoud!

I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.

I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!

Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!

Best to ya!

It's quite a site here, isn't it? And it's improving my motivation to no end. Lamaze? Huh! No just writing a documentary script about water birth and looking for every excuse not to do it... which explains why I'm right here, right now. The series usually throws up stuff infinitely more challenging and stimulating, for me at least.

A quiet neighbourhood does wonders for the VOs from home. Happy house hunting! :)
