As a DIALOGUE COACH and Interpreter Martitia Powell-Palmer has worked with Miramax and the star of AMÉLIE, A VERY LONG ENGAGEMENT, THE DA VINCI CODE Audrey Tautou, on all Press Conferences and the Première, Luc Jacquet, director of MARCH OF THE PENGUINS, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, the Director of ALIEN, and opening scene dialogue with Director Jeff Espanol on FASHION THE MOVIE. Martitia has coached actors in Italy, New York and Los Angeles in three languages for a variety of accents using imagery to encourage the actor to find the character, as well as business executives for corporate presentations. Coaching: accent reduction (i.e. British to American, Southern), & addition – (ie American to British, French etc) variety in presentation for speeches, work on timbre, pitch and breathing in a natural way allowing a Presenter / Interviewer/ Actor/ to incorporate clarity and ‘tone’ into normal speech; simple tools for greater ease in communication while respecting the performer’s talent. I'm a Casting Director and experienced actor (4 octave range) for Video Games and more. It's a unique genre, unlike any other that requires a lot of differentiation in voices because there are so many parts with so few lines each. It requires a huge vocal repertoire.
