HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have been a professional voice talent since 2000, booking all sorts of voice over work...from a Burger King TV spot that ran in London and a Hershey's Kisses TV spot that ran in Brazil; and regional radio spots for Alltel and Midas Mufflers. I was the speaking and singing voice of two of the Care Bear dolls: Wish Bear and Luv-a-lot Bear for the special "Sing-a-long Friends" doll edition. And for several years, I was the voice you would hear touting the joys of cheesy bread sticks when you'd call to order a pizza from Pizza Hut in Kansas. And in between, I've done my share of local spots and narration work.
As a Florida native, I attended New World School of the Arts with a concentration in Music (singing) and then attended The University of Miami School of Music studying jazz and classical voice. It is in the South Florida where I began my love of voiceover, studying with the reknowned VO Artist, Connie Zimet. In 2003, I moved to New York, where I've continued to study VO with Wendy Dillon. At present, I free-lance with several NYC VO agents.
As an actor, I studied on and off with many teachers over the years: Ruth Foreman, Stewart Solomon, Peter King, Michael Gioia, Larry Moss (dialect coach in LA), Kim Noel, Marc Durso, Raymond Forchion. Tara Ann Johnson, Judy Kerr, Kim St. Leon, Elena Maria Garcia and Gerald Owens.
I've been a member of the sketch comedy group "Punch 59" and the improv group, "Laughing Gas."
And in my spare time, I've been reading and producing radio shows for the sight impaired and disabled for 10 years now -formerly with WLRN Public Radio in Miami and now with the InTouch Radio Network national satellite broadcast out of NYC.
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS
I am the speaking and singing voice of "Cora," a cartoon character for the "Sani-Hands for Kids" hand wipe product by Nice-Pak. The campaign includes a :30 spot to air in spring of 2009. There is also a website for "Cora and Cory" and some videos relating to the product. Check out www.coraandcory.com to see more.
I have a clear, unaccented, smooth mid-range sound. While I can do a great, "straight" conversational "read," I can do lots of characters and accents as well. I have a great ear, great timing, I'm easy to work with and I'm very directible. Note: without affecting my voice, I sound like I'm 20's/30's, but I can do the entire spectrum of women's ages if need be. I can also sing in character.
