HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
In reality, I guess I could say I have close to 10 years experience in voiceovers. But I choose to use October 2005 as the moment when I decided to try and make a career of it.
Previous to that date, I was involved in numerous projects in my role as an audio/visual technician.
Voice of God (VOG) for live events - Announcements and introductions of various speakers and award winners.
Live commercial reads - Annual Hamlet Cup Tennis Tournament. Live commercial P.A. reads.
Studio voiceovers - Various reads for our in-house production department. Mostly introductions and award winner announcements.
After a while I realized that voiceovers might be for me and I began to persue the training necessary to advance in the field. That training continues to this day and helped me become a full-time voice actor in October 2007.

Somewhere between the first two, this is a restraining of excitement to form a concise, focused message with a motivational energy.
Smooth

I was initially concerned about tackling an audio book—a project that requires so much time and feedback—with an actor long-distance, and with someone I’d never met face-to-face. James Lorenz made it easy for me.
James owned the project from start to finish. He brought good ideas to the table that made the end result better, helped set up a system for sending big audio files back and forth, took my email comments and without a blink incorporated my ideas into his performances, and never hesitated when I asked to him redo something.
James’s voice sounds great, and the sound quality of his recordings are at least as good if not better than the other audio books I have on my bookshelf.
James was a pro at every turn. I would recommend James without hesitation for your voice acting or voiceover needs.

I checked out your blog and it is GREAT! I especially like how organized you are with easy access to articles of interest. Hats off on a well-organized blog. I'm gonna feed it! The article on NY accents was interesting and I can confirm that some of that goes to Baltimore--I lived in MD most of my life near DC but I never heard "youse" until I met a native Baltimorian. I about fell over when I heard her say "Sees youse all later." She had been "normal" up until that point so it caught a lot of us off guard when she said that. She wasn't joking; she was sincere! My biggest problem in PA is that they "let" and "rid up" which drives me insane! I work on "our" because I have a habit of "are." I have to think "hour" when I hit an "our." I guess weez all have our problems to correct! Again, great blog and I look forward to reading it!
Hey James! Glad you like the show! I'm a little late commenting back, but thanks for the add too! Hope you're enjoying your summer......and if you're coming to Voice 2008 I'll see you there!
