I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Agency
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
As many others, my background is in radio. Been doing that since I was 13, so this year it's 23 years ago - whoa...
Around 1997, I had the chance to audition for a small-market local tv-station, who did their own commercial production. Actually I nailed it, but due to my cluelessness (is that even a word??) about the VO-business, I made all the classic mistakes: I sounded the exact same way on every recording, as I did on the radio. So if I remember correctly, I did three jobs for them, and they never called me again.
A couple of years later, there was an opening for the male danish VO-job for a tv-homeshopping network. For the next four years, I did TONS of informercials and learned quite a bit, besides making a fair amount of money. I even got my first experience with true voice acting, when I did ALL the voices of baby animals on the Danish version of "Marty Stoufer's Wacky Babies". I also did narration for other films in that series. This was truly my real break in VO.
In 2003, I bought some second-hand gear and began to voice commercials for numerous local radiostations in Denmark. Nothing fancy, they all did their own production and I only provided a raw voice recording. Somewhere along the linebigger projects turned up, and I slowly began to invest in better equipment.
Then... in 2007 and by sheer coincidence, I discovered Voice123 and the Voiceoversavvy-forum. From there, things literally took off like an Saturn V-rocket. Through the forums I learned so much, and a whole new world evolved. When I joined Voices.com, it was my "Neil Armstrong-moment" in VO: gigs and enquiries from seekers all around the world began to come in on a regular basis, and I landed quite a few. Now I'm with several international agencies and databases in countries like the US, UK, Brazil, Holland, Germany, Sweden, France, Czech Republic...
I'm also the first (and so far the only) Scandinavian-based voice artist accredited by SaVoa.

OK, stop! Just...stop for a second!!

Okay, let me explain...

I LOVE the idea of forums and communities... I'm with all of them: Savvy, VO-BB, Voice-overs.com, MySpace FaceBook... and of course also Voiceover Universe.
I love that we can network, share our experiences, thoughts, advice, have fun etc. through all of these places.

Basically, I like the idea of a voiceover-related MySpace/Facebook kinda place. And it's really amazing that Rick has gathered almost 1000 members already, and the contributions from industry icons like Jo… Continue

Hi Sweets!

How's my favorite Dane with the sexy red chair? Just got back from a gorgeous early morning hike in the foothills and suiting up to do some gardening today.

Hope your summer is going well ~ how do you like Sweden? Is it very different from Denmark?

xoxoxo
