Hey Howard - why thank ye...

Gosh, Peachy Farmer are the Exeter favourite aren't they! You weren't down at Double Lox wereyou by any chance??

Well the VO thing was a natural byproduct of working in a live broadcasting environ (presenter & various other bits n pieces). Left it for a while & decided to pick up again a few years back. The idea of home recording was a stumbling block for me for a while, as used to all the bangs & whistles & high-end stuff of inhouse production studios, I just thought 'Ohmy lord, I cannot do that!". & with some strong & sensible words from folks in the know, I realised it was totally do-able.

Actually, when I lived down there & decided with some encouragement, to get back 'into it', a friend in a very high place within G-cap intro'd me to the Gemini lot. (I think it was a case of 'see this woman, she is good. see her because I say so') & I looked forward to maybe doing some swing shifts etc, & then it was allchange - all stations up for sale & things went static...& I moved back to the living (Bristol), cuz Ex was just doing my head in. I was missing 'culture' & breadth of experience/thought. Now of course back in London, I crave that landscape & being able to go to the beach for a swim - painful!

I tell ya what, sad affair for radio down there yes - my paper recycling has more personality than the guy on the afternoon shift at gemini. anyway... glad that phonic got the perma license.

My desire is to do more character stuff. I would love to get into the world of gaming.

So, a village north...not Silverton is it??

Wow!  I was remeberhing how quaint to was to go to a bakery for bread and then to the dariy shop for milk and then to the candy shop for sweets.  The biggest supermarket was like a tiny Safeway.  For some reason, I remember quart of milk was 10 1/2 cents; since they had done away with the half-penny, the store owner would charge 11 cents one day and then 10 cents when you came back later in the week.  The new Pence was just being started with a 6 new pence=1 shilling.  I don't remember a movie house but there must have been one.  Our landlady, Mrs. Channer, allowed us ot watch their "tele" when the Americans landed on the moon.  All great memories.  If I ever get back to England, I most certainly will stop by!
