Profile Information

I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor, Creative Director
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I worked in radio for over 20 years. Working in markets all over Ohio. I'm also a screenwriter (nothing sold yet) I've done some acting too. I've done a few plays (waiter in Death Of A Salesmen. I was also the "voice" in Willie Lomans head too) and I was an extra in a mob movie shot in Youngstown, OH in 1999.

I've played lots of characters on the radio. From a Leprechaun to Santa, from Elmo to an old man. I even did a localized spot for Dominions pizza as an Italian guy for Brooklyn Style Pizza.

I've just recently got more into voice overs, voice acting, and radio imaging. I've been told that my radio imaging production sounds great but I know their is a lot more to voice acting then radio imaging and radio spots. My dream is be do a voice in a cartoon.

VOICE DESCRIPTION
I believe my voice is very versatile. My normal speaking voice is average to slight baritone. I can be relaxed, sincere, convincing and friendly and I can do that big deep voice that is needed for classic rock radio imaging, TV promos and movie trailers. But I can also do a range of character voices like teenage kids, Elmo or “Bobby” from “Bobby’s World” and many others.

Calling In Sick...to your self???

Calling In sick…to your self?

I’ve been working on my own since February of this year. So far I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs. In the recent weeks I’ve been getting more and more gigs. And that’s good! But, just a few days ago I was hit with a sore throat. Now what?? I have a few clients that NEED their work done soon!!

When I worked for a radio station (or any company for that matter) if I was sick, I called off. Nobody at a company wants a sick person at work. But now that I’m worki… Continue

I got a new mic!!!

I got a new mic!!

Last week I went to Sweetwater Sound in Ft. Wayne, IN and tested a few mics. I finally decided on the RODE NT 1000. It’s a condenser mic that wasn’t to expensive. If you want to know why I went with a condenser mic instead of a dynamic mic…it’s simple. I liked the way it sounded in the test. After all the whole reason for going to Sweetwater testing mics, was to see which one sounded best with my voice. It was between the GROOVE TUBE GT 50 and this RODE NT 1000. I did test the… Continue

Political Voice Overs

There’s no beating around it. We are in a recession! Times are tough. For some, money is hard to come by. People are losing their jobs and their homes. I hear people on the radio and TV saying…if you really need money, get a springboard job. ANY JOB! Wal-mart, McDonalds…something to bring some cash into your home.

Which brings me to my question for voice over artists. Are you a voice over whore? What I mean is, would you do a voice over for a client, even if that client is for another political… Continue

Can someone be overexposed on networking sites?

Can you be overexposed?

OK…before I even try and continue with my latest blog let’s get the “exposed” joke out the way first…

“Yes, you can be overexposed. But nobody wants to see my hairy naked body”.

Ok…one more….

“Yes, you can be overexposed. Pamela Anderson looks great over exposed!”

Now that we got the stupid jokes of the way, let me continue with what I really meant.

I’m talking about Self Promotion vs. being Overexposed!

I’m a big fan of all the social networks. I sta… Continue

I have an agent!

Here is some good news and bad news that’s happen to me in the past few weeks.

First, on Thursday Feb. 5, I was let go from my radio job of 3 ½ years. I started at WKKI in Dec. 2005 doing mornings and then moved to middays (10am – 2pm). I was shocked to hear the owner fire me. This recession is hitting everyone. I’m sure it was due in part because I was the last one getting paid salary. Everybody else on the air was getting paid a cheep hourly rate.

Anyway…on Tuesday Feb. 10th I went down to C… Continue

Hi Frank!

Sorry, I've been away tending to family business.

Thank you for the compliment, it was a fun track to make. I must share the credit with my producer, M.J. Lallo. She surely knows how to bring the best out of a person. Thanks again.
