"Thank you for your encouragement, direction, and honest advice. You Dan, and most of the people on VU, remind me that I have no time for hesitance or fear. Professionals like you give me the direction and I need to help me stop dog paddling and set…"
"I love how you so seamlessly glide from professionalism to humor and back again! Would you really never send this out? I think it would be a great way to get rid of the awkwardness of a new business relationship right away!"
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
A little over two years ago I joined a talent agency that represents me as a voice over actor and film/tv actor. Though I like all three venues, voice over interests me most at this time. I would love to learn as much as I possibly can from the many veterans on this site!
Though the agency I am with has gotten me some auditions and jobs, I am not getting the exposure or making the connections I would like. I think it is time to take it into my own hands.

"Hello all! Question. How do you upload your demos to you page?"
Hi Emily. No problem. After you've logged into VU, click on the "MY PAGE' link. Then, scroll down a bit and you'll see the "+ Add VO demos" hiding near the bottom on the left side, underneath the pictures of all your wonderful friends:) From there, just click on the blue box and choose your file. You can even add a picture to it, if you like. Hope this helps. Can't wait to hear it!
As for your questions of adding narration clients, growth has come primarily through Voice123. I know that some may degrade using the Pay 2 Play services, but for me working full time in Christian Radio (www.am91.org), V123 has been an excellent source for work. Some, certainly not all, jobs turn into recurring clients, and the practice received is great.
My plan is to ultimately be full time, but while building the foundation (financial, marketing, equipping studio, etc) I've been *almost* too busy to be a good husband, father, and church member. My wife is very understanding and seeing the progress it's encouraging to know that my commute to work will soon be :15 seconds (downstairs to my office) rather than :45 minutes (one way) to the radio station.
Take every opportunity to listen to the best in the business. Immerse yourself in the demos you can download at www.voicebank.net, and practice, practice, practice until your stuff sounds like their stuff.
Speaking of "stuff", I'd love to hear some of your stuff. Feel free to email samples to firstname.lastname@example.org.
