I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Before I was a Voice Actor I wasn't one.

After graduating college I began my career "behind the scenes" as a Video Editor (assistant as well), and Producer/Director. I worked on a quite few well recognized productions (Oprah, Kurtis Productions, Siskel & Ebert, etc.) and spots and some not so well recognized (computer based training videos.

Through it all I've done theatre and improv (acting has ALWAYS been my first love) sporadically. Had some kids and focused my attention on raising them up. Now they're just about grown (Two in college, one entering high school) so I went back to my first love-- Acting!

Began my voice-over career not long ago and have never been happier!
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS

I recently re-connected with an old collegue of mine from Post Effects and boy, has he been busy! Arturo Cubacub is one of the most forward thinking people I know and he's currently working on the leading edge of art and media with interstitial artistry. It's pretty cool to see where he believes things are going.

I invite you to check out his company's website: i3hypermedia.com. There you will find a video loop of pieces they and other folks have done for their Interstitial Festival.… Continue

Presentation/Demo level of a game I just finished

Posted on November 20, 2008 at 8:00pm 1 Comment

Hey all!

Not sure if I'm posting this in the correct spot but I wanted to share a video of a demo/presentation level of a game I just finished.

I was checking the stats of my website when I saw that a referring site was youtube. I knew I have never posted anything there so I checked it out. Low and behold my client posted this and even mentions my name and included my website! How sweet was that?!!!

Anyway.... I had loads of fun doing this. It's almost a crime… Continue

After a lot of hard work (Not by me. What, are you nuts? Dina don't know nuthin' 'bout no websites!) my website is finally launched. Yea!!!

A big gigantic thank you to Bret Brizzee and his friend Jina who did all the work! I think they're fantastic folks.

If you care to check it out you can go to DinasVoiceToGo.com. I'd love to hear from you! Please though, respond through here or my email at dmbptamutha@sbcglobal.net. For some reason AT&T is giving us some problems on… Continue

Anyone have a good "Hurry up and Wait" story?

Posted on June 12, 2008 at 8:10pm 3 Comments

Years ago I was working a shoot for a toy (it was a video based educational toy). We're all there ready to go, tapes all loaded up on those BVH 2000's, camera ops, light guys, sound guys, beautiful set, wonderful actors, puppets, and puppetiers. This was a huge shoot. Had to be there by 7:30 am to go.

7:30 comes and goes and we're all waiting. The whole day goes by. Not a nanosecond on tape. Same thing the second day. Finally in the middle of the third day we find out what was going… Continue

Ottawa is a small town. Went to that high school you mention and lived on the south side. Eddie and Joe are out as of Nov 21st after nearly 20 years. Though they are getting paid through the end of their 7 yr contrct which ends in July. Nice paid vaccation -- $1.5 mill each per year. And I gave up radio in 1980.... http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/entertainment/That-Stings--Eddie-Jobo-Dumped-from-B96.html

Hi Dina, yes those are our dogs and cats. That was our Holiday card this year. We had four dogs and four cats until cancer and old age diminished our menagerie. They are all rescued animals.

So you are a former Chi-town-er. I grew up in Ottawa and started in radio there with Joe Bohannan (Eddie and JoBo formerly from B96). My wife was born in Chicago but lived there less than a year.

I grew up on the Southwest side (67th & Kedzie). Then lived the last several years I was in town on the North side just off Sheridan Road at the end of Lake Shore Drive. Now I live in Portland, Oregon. Would love to hook-up next time I'm back... after the snow! :-)

Hey, Dina-
I appreciate the shout out from a fellow Chitown gal. (Born and raised there but now living out West). Love your website and your demos!
Hope we can cross paths sometime. I get back to see my family a couple times a year.

Dina - You are hysterical! No breaking of legs, please! Nancy is a friend of mine (and a new mother to twins!) Its always fun to fill in for her and there's always some sort of breaking news when I sit in for her. It's weird. That case of the missing child is so sad! Thanks for your support ~DD
