Anybody coming...?

...to InfoComm next week in Vegas? Here's the website: http://www.infocomm.org/cps/rde/xchg/infocomm/hs.xsl/events_5105.htm

InfoComm 2008 claims to be: "...the leading business-to-business marketplace for display, projection, audio, conferencing, lighting and staging, digital signage, Internet streaming and networked presentation and communications systems..."

Now, I know that's not exactly everything a voice-artist would buy a plane ticket to see, esp. at today's fuel prices... but if you're… Continue

Rate Sheet Returns

Well, it took longer than I expected (a funeral and TV ratings kinda got in the way), but my little survey on what voice-actors charge for their talents is now done, and you can download your own copy of this MS Word.doc HERE

Names have been deleted to protect the innocent. You'll find a little bit of everything here...but overall, something for everybody to learn.

Thanks for of you who helped with the cause!

Rate Sheets

I'm hoping to get responses from voice-actors everywhere on their formulas for quoting clients.

I promise to collate, assimilate and disseminate the results to everyone.

I'd write up my proposal again here, but it's already on my blog at:

Your input appreciated. Feedback by commenting at the bottom of the blog or e-mailing me personally. courvo@courvo.com.

Thanks!

Dave: Thought it would be interesting to collect the top recommended Pro Tools plug-ins used by voiceover home studio users. My list would include: BNR, Normalize, and EQ 3. When you are putting your money where your mouth is, what plug-ins add real value? Share and enjoy! Al

Hi Dave!

I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.

I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!

Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!

Best to ya!

Hi, Dave! I dug into the local library and found Alice Whitfield's Take It From The Top, which although it's circ.1992, still has asome nuggets of wisdom.

Hi!

Thanks for including me on your blog. For a few minutes I'll remain speechless (generally not good for a VO, but this is an exception) and proud to have been supported in this way.

best regards

Hello Dave,
I saw your quote on Nancy Wolfson's site, she does seem pretty impressive. Would you recommend her coaching? Are they any other coaches that you've worked with that you've found helpful?
