That was brilliant. Just brilliant. just shows producers book people they want to work with. Big ego's won't book the job. Humility and gratitude wins the day.

Ahhh, My Own Studio.

For quite some time I've been struggling to find a place to record tracks. I tried my conversion van. Nice acoustics but kind of like sitting in a jet cock pit. No room to move. It didn't help having to stretch a 75' drop cord from my house to the van. Man, talk about RF. I then tried my closet. Another cramped situation and exercise in futility. I had to come out of the closet. Yes, I'm a closet VO guy.

A client of mine...(in my day job business).. a dentist offered to let me use the basement… Continue

Getting That Right Recording

I can't say enough about Voice 2008. I still wish I were there. I met so many people there and have learned from every one of them. One person that I met who has already saved me a ton of time and will save me a bunch of money as time goes on. His name is Dan Lenard. Dan is a genius with recording environments and can tell you exactly what you need and what you don't need. More importantly we have become friends.

While talking with Dan I have learned that there are many things that I don't need… Continue

Recording environment

I spent all day getting my...Closet ready to record in. Yes all day! Where does all this crap come from. Now I have my little space among shirt and pants and shoes to record. My little sanctuary. Now to find a way to put a mic in.

Ya it's heaven.

Dan'yell,

I am working like a dog these days. Between live annoucning and voice over, I'm up until the wee hours of the morning (as you can tell from the time of this post!!). Putting in work on markeitngmy new promo demo and putting pitching plans in place for the new trailer and imaging demos.

And you? Making a million dollars I presume?

Hey Daniel,
Great to continue the connect. As if I could deny such a lovely polite request - that said, I'd take it even if it was rude and obnoxious ;)
looking forward to keeping in touch

Hey there Daniel!

Thanks for rhe comment! How are you doing? My wife and I were thinking that maybe we met you and your wife in Utah at a convention a couple of years ago. I have a disabled son and I think we had a brief conversation about a family member of your's that is disabled too. Are you going to Voice 2010? I hope to go. Perhaps we can catch up with you there. Drop me a line when you get your demos posted.
