HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
Craig primarily works as in the Atlanta area as a performer, mostly for live events and several film/TV projects since 2007 and has occasionally booked some regional VO work since the late 90's.
Craig has taken VO training workshops and classes with Bob Bergen, Tony Gonzales, Bill Holmes, James Alburger, Penny Abshire, Richard Horvitz, September Day Leach, Bob Carter, Susan Berkley, Margaret Kerry, SuchAVoice.com's Heather Costa, and mentoring/coaching from Pat Fraley, Lani Minella, and Corey Burton.
Craig has toured internationally with award-winning Gospel groups Acappella and The Daybreak Quartet as singer, road manager, and opening act doing character voices and celebrity impressions.
Since 1999, Craig has been self-publishing the web's first newsletter for cartoon voice actor enthusiasts. Voice Actors in the News was originally an exclusive to The Voice Actor Appreciation Society, but in March 2009 was relaunched as an active blog for both voice actor enthusiasts and professionals. Voice actors in animation is the primary focus, but other articles and information on the craft and entertainment value of voice acting are also included.
Craig also hosts the Viva VO Atlanta! group here on VoiceoverUniverse.
Craig has also developed a performance-based reading program for children to teach the craft of storytelling and character voice acting. He began testing the program at schools in early 2009 and will launch it officially by Fall 2009.
And he hopes to launch his professional site VoxInSox.com in the very near future.
Craig is also the Founder/Host of The Voice Actor Appreciation Society on Yahoo Groups and Facebook. Although the group was originally intended to serve as a fan community for cartoon voice actor enthusiasts, it has since become more inclusive for voice actors in all media. At the close of 2008, there were over 500 members (on the Yahoo Group), many of whom are also professional voice actors. Members of Voiceover Universe are of course cordially invited and more than welcome to join.
Craig has done extensive online research on the voiceover industry which at first was for his own benefit. Then in the late 90's he found a means to collect the results of his research as an online resource for other aspiring and professional voice talents. It's called The Voice Actors Ultimate Links Treasury at The Open Directory Project. New submissions and volunteer editors to assist in updating and expanding the directory there are always welcome.

The 2nd edition was in 2000. The cover is red with a microphone dangling at the top. It needs a 3rd edition with updated marketing info. Working on getting my publisher to agree to that. So, I'm guessing you have the latest.

Hi Craig,
Thanks for promoting my book, There's Money Where Your Mouth Is. Currently, I only have 2 editions. Do you have the Red one or the Yellow one?

I trust the Voiceover Universe experience has been good for you! You've obviously been very busy with it!!!
Also, I hope you'll check out and join a new group that we just started called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. With your experience, you would be a tremendous resource! The link is: www.voiceoveruniverse.com/group/marketingforfunandprofit
Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!
CC,
Yup, thas me! As to hiring you for the project, I will keep the possibility in mind IF and WHEN the project gets a go
ahead from the interested company. Right now we are in the Demo stage.
In the meantime, all the voices will have to be stationed in LA...and most of them
will be offered to the actors who created the roles.
IF they are not interested, then I will look for sound alikes.
I will let you know then.
Keep in touch.
