Until I integrate a blogging module into my personal website...

I think that I won't be able to even consider keeping up with a blog. It's not that I don't write a lot - I do that - but I find that I am responding to posts - or updating the blog for a class I teach - not creating new topics. So until I figure out how to work that into my day, I think I will just read and respond to posts and blogs as they appear on my monitor.

But - to close the circle - an update on my mom - she is doing pretty well! Knee replacement has healed up completely.… Continue

The power of your website

Do not underestimate the power of having a well placed website. More and more paying customers are searching for talent on the web. And the number of cold calls and emails with good jobs that come directly from someone finding me on the net increases each month.

Now, the problem for someone just starting out in 2008 with a website, is getting it seen. I'm not a master SEO guru - my websites pop up because I've been online with my own domains since 1996. And somewhere along the line I… Continue

I just started trying to update a blog on a regular basis and have been using the Nextcat site to do so? What do you think - keep it there - move it here - or start up my own on my website? Hmmm. It's not all about voiceovers - like right now it's about my trip to New York to help my mom after her knee replacement - and the struggles with understanding how much "help" she is actually going to need after I leave.

And the voiceover between trips to the rehabilitation place… Continue

Hi Connie!

I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.

I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. Hi Connie

I'm curious about learning more about IVR recording. I was wondering if you had any suggestions of good options for learning this side of the business?

Hi Connie,

I think you are wonderful on the Dilbert and New Yorker strips! Apparently you've also done some TV spots for my market (Seattle) as well. Small world!
