Profile Information

I WORK IN THE VOICE OVER INDUSTRY AS A(N)
Voice Actor
HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I thought I would give you some of my background.

In 1976 I joined Covenant Players and travelled with them for the next 8 years. During that time I performed over 400 roles; everything from a bear to blind lady. This ministry became a spring board for my husband and I to start a children's ministry with puppets.

By the time we were called to something else; 10 years later; we had a collection of 150 puppets( all the voices were mine)

Drama has always been a passion of mine so when my husband and I moved to a small community in Canada, I performed in several community theatre musicals. I always audtioned for the "character" parts; not the lead. I would always tell people it was more fun to do the characters:)

I also taught drama to children and adults with and without disabilities. This was something I truly enjoyed.

Currently I am involved in Reader's Theatre in Olympia Washington and if I didn't have to have surgery(sigh) last year I had the role of Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Ernest.

I became disabled Nov. 2008 but thank the Lord with medication I am able to carry on with life now.

Oh, one last hat in (addition to my Red Hat) I wear is I am a sign language interpeter.

When you look on my VO universe page you will see that I am my own character

.
RECENTLY BOOKED PROJECTS
Currently no projects booked as 2010 is my year to get up and go.
LANGUAGES
English
VOICE DESCRIPTION
Youthful with a medium to high vocal range. When I sing in Church my preference is soprano. I can do the lower range especially for specific characters.
DIALECTS, Character voices and vocal impressions
I have listened and mimiced for my family's enjoyment the classic cartoon voices(I know I am aging myself) I also watched Carol Burnett(I consider her my hero:) I have been trained in vocal characterization, drama, puppetry and just starting in VO.

When I was travelling with the puppet ministrty, I started with 2 puppets and finished with 150 puppets. Each of those puppets had a unique voice, character and distinct personality.
VOICES I AM ABLE TO PERFORM
Senior Male, Senior Female, Young Adult Female, Teenage Boy, Teenage Girl, Child Female, Baby
