Voice Actor
From lying through my teeth in order to get my first radio job (I told my new G.M. I was founder/proprietor of WCLO-AM...It was true. I just didn't tell him I was twelve at the time,) to studying v/o in Noho with a mind-altered radio star from the '70s, I flap my lips daily in order to pay my daughters' tuition and keep my wife in second-hand Hollywood ball-gowns. I had the good fortune of being cast as "Flint," in the original Sunbow/Hasbro TV Cartoon and have reprised the role in episodes of Robot Chicken, and Family Guy. I'm "Ambassador Donnell Udina" in Mass Effect 1,2, & 3.
It's been a great ride down the v/o highway and it continues today (I tell ya, there's no accounting for taste.)
CBS-TV Promos for "Under The Dome," movie trailers: The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Will Ferrell's "The Campaign," Jack Kerouac's "On The Road," Bloomberg Channel, H&R Block TV & radio, Chevron/Delo radio, T-Mobile TV, V-8 TV spots, National Hyundai TV campaign, Discovery I.D.: I Almost Got Away With It, Behind Mansion Walls, Smithsonian Channel: Air Disasters, Weather Channel: Extreme Weather, AT&T Wireless radio.
Lousy French, rotten Spanish, barely understandable Italian, and mediocre English.

Do you remember "Bobby the Bellboy" from I Love Lucy?

Posted on April 22, 2013 at 4:30pm 1 Comment

One evening I was watching I Love Lucy with my family when Bobby the Bellboy came on. My father said, "That's your uncle Bobby. He plays Bobby the Bellboy."

"I've got an uncle on TV?!?"

Though my parents tried to shield me and my brother from my "Hollywood" uncle - famed radio actor Bob Jellison who played Bobby the Bellboy and bit parts on TV sitcoms throughout the '60s & '70s, I eventually tracked my uncle down. He was way different from what I…

Bill Ratner, you are so dang sweet to even send me a message.  I haven't been on VU in like 2 1/2 years so no worries about delayed messages.

Here's some exciting news ... I was chosen to be the event announce at the 2013 Clio Awards which were held in NYC this last Wednesday, May 15.  Came out of the clear blue sky ... truly an honor.  Just had to share.

You are still #1 in my book.  So talented on every level.

You inspire me.

Hi Bill!

I know you’ve been a member of Voiceover Universe for some time, but I wanted to introduce one of our groups to you.

I hope you'll check out and join a group called MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT. It's a group dedicated to discussing ways we can market ourselves - what works; what doesn't. You’ll find some very interesting ideas and concepts there! And we would appreciate your input. Click here for the link: MARKETING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!

Thanks for your time! I trust our paths will cross soon!

Best to ya!

Hi Bill, had a blast (once I got over being nervous) at the Marice Tobias workshop last weekend. She really is amazing and brought me along in development more than I thought was possible in two days. Maybe I'll see you at one of her workshops once of these days. I really love this biz and the people in it.

Hi, Bill.

I used to work as the Webmaster for KFMB TV/AM/FM in San Diego. I did not have the pleasure of meeting or speaking with you while you were doing the Imaging for the TV News side ("News8") but I'm glad I finally get to say "hello". Your breadth of work in is amazing and one of the catalysts for me to become a Voice Actor.

Did you work with Roy Robertson at KFMB? He was the Client Services and Production Manager for the radio side. Roy was kind enough to let me do my very first Voice Over read that made it past an audition tape!

I've moved back to my hometown (a successful graduate of growing up in 'The Valley', thank you!) and devoting non Banker's Hours to a career in Commercial, Animation, and Character/Video Game Voice Over.
