HERE'S A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY VOICE OVER EXPERIENCE
I have been doing this off and on since 1996, which by then I had completed three trade classes; Bartending, Audio Engineering, and Voice Over Training, which a teacher in the engineering course suggested I do because he felt I had the chops for it. While I did land the Great Smokies ad & a few PSA's here and there, it was always on the back burner while I focused on the other two (I still bartend). I started to pursue it more aggressively in 2007, landing marketing vocals for businesses, a safety alert system, and an internet trailer for an independent short. I have trained at Edge Studio and PDR Voice-Over Coaching in NYC, and an improv class with John Swist & QuickThinking Improv in NYC (Highly Recommended!!!).
Thanks for dropping me a line. Who did you train with at Edge? If you need any tips on making a studio on a budget, let me know:) I worked out a nice system. What's your primary goal? And where do you work now for your day job? Best, L
I am so happy to be among the first to welcome you to VoiceOver Universe! You have joined a great community filled with talented and very generous people. You'll love it here!
I'd also like to invite you to join my VU Group, Positive Thinkers UNITE. It's a great place to get positive reinforcement and encouragement. We welcome all forward thinking voice actors to join. We hope you will count yourself among us!
Check out the other groups as well by rolling over FORUM at the top of the page and choosing GROUPS from the drop down menu. There are so many GREAT ones!
I wish you the best of luck in your VO career. If I can be of any help, please let me know.
