You know Amanda, I have been waiting for an opportunity to say this... and I may as well start with you seeing how you ask the question. I am in the planning stage for my demo reel and I have been listening to a few reels here and elsewhere. What I have observed is this, they are all beginning to sound the same the males and the females seem to be all alike in their sounds especially the woman. I read requests for auditions and often see a request for a Morgan Freeman or a natural conversational neighbor next door type of voice. Now do you think Morgan does his unique voice style on purpose? I don't think so. My point for you is this, you have a good voice and I would not try to disguise or change your natural accent. Go for the unique natural quality in your accent. There is a market for a different sound from the rest of the pack.
