Hi Paul! Wow, Thanks for starting this group!! Do you know of any ADR happening in NYC that I can get involved with? I know it's mainly done in LA, but just wondering.... Thx, Marian

Thanks for starting this one Paul.
I've auditioned for a few and even landed a gig doing it for Nintendo on one of their Japanese to English video game conversions. It was quite a trip to try and match the character's voice in English. Plus they needed some breaths too, it was wild.
How many auditions a week do you get for ADR?

Hi Paul! I did my first ADR only a few months ago, the spot is actually posted on my profile page. What fun! It's a bit challenging and I think it could have come out better, but the client was happy so I guess that's what counts. Didn't realize though that it would be a niche in the industry, was it something you were interested in doing or did it find YOU? I haven't done one since but I imagine I might be asked by the same client down the road now that he knows I can do it, but I hadn't thought of actually pursuing it........

I've been asked by a few to start a discussion group on ADR. Feel free to fire away and I'll offer what I can. I've been doing ADR ("looping") for 21 years, in addition to my other voice-over work. I've been around the field a long time and will share what I can. It's an odd part of the business and requires a rather unique skill set. I'll do my best to answer your questions. Welcome and let's see where this goes...Paul
