Who can recommend an agent in DFW? I've been wanting to get my stuff out to an agent, but I'm not sure which one to send to, plus I know it's always good to have an inside person who you can mention recommended them...Some agents I hear won't even listen to your demo unless you come recommended to them. Thanks for your help!

Hi Chuck,
I would love to hear what kind of feedback you got on this question?
I started out really pumped up when I cut my new demos last year and the agencies and agents I've contacted have been of very little help and even a few were just plain rude. I've had no luck so far and your comment about being recommended sounds true. Let me know if you've gotten any good responses.
Best regards,

I am represented by the Campbell Agency..
The other top DFW agents are:
Mary Collins and Kim Dawson, These in my opinion are the top three..
These are also excellent agents in no order
Horn
Linda Macallister
Thomas
Stone
and a few others....

Thanks for your reply John. I plan to work in 09 to get an agent here in DFW and get some work...in 2008 my day job kept me too busy to get it done, but I plan to make the time this next year.

There is one other agency not mentioned below and that is Elite Talent. Visit website. Danette is your contact there. If you have "killer" demo might give her a try. And remember, you need agents in about six cities nowadays. We don't only work in the town we live in. In fact, that's often the least market for us. One male vo talent here tells me his work mainly is coming from an agent in Pittsburgh PA. I love my Atlanta agent, Donna Summers. I also have agents in Kansas City, Houston (Pastorini Bosby is wonderful) and three other cities. And remember, while we all need agents, much work comes from the internet sites we can subscribe to that send auditions and jobs. Hope this helps.Oh--one agent listed below "Stone," Ivette Stone passed away recently. She was a lovely person and wonderful agent. We miss her.

And also in the good post below, two typos: The Tomas agency is now the Bajsel Tomas Agency. Visit website. It was spelled incorrectly. Also, Suzanne Horne is the Horne Agency. A terrific lady. Also not spelled correctly below.
