To start with, I think we are going to need to narrow down generally what people are going to need to sound like for each race, then apply the geography and other factors as we narrow things down to…Continue

Well, I have put a bit of information up for discussion, created a guild, and a website for the guild... Are people no longer interested in this?

I do agree, it is quite the undertaking. One thing I discovered from my truly geeky days as a Dungeon Master is the best way (again my opinion) to build a world, is you start with the actual world geography, get the continents built, where your mountains and oceans are, then from there, you figure out your races, and where they live, and then their histories. Then once you have that all established, you then can go back through and name the geography based upon who and what lives where, because each race and culture is going to depend on the names given.

I put a lot of thought into this task and I think that it would work well in a similar way... We already have the geography done, and the location and histories, from there we have to extrapolate what each race is going to sound like in each area, first with an overall idea of what the race should sound like, then narrowing it down to geographical differences. For instance, Humans in Stormwind are not going to sound the same as humans further north, or even Northrend. What I was hoping for here was to get a discussion going to get an idea of what people thought they would sound like in general, then narrow down to the cities and territories, then from there, each territory will have its NPCs that will need to be accounted for. If we just start cranking out a list of characters and scripts with no thought as to congruity, then its not going to sound any better than what they currently have.

I think you're on the right track Jason. With so many people leaving positive response to your first query that's going to be a pretty daunting task. Might be best to just ask for the esentials from each. Geographics, language spoken, race etc. and start compiling a basic spreadsheet.
