I've put together the Voice-Over Journey podcast, as kind-of a "shared" podcast. I am hoping to hear from other new and semi-new voice actors and have them share their voice over "journeys" and stories with me and we will put them on future episodes of the podcast!
For those keeping track, a new episode (ep #10) of The Voice-Over Journey podcast was just released (finally) at http://MediaVoiceOvers.com/VOJ , in iTunes, and in the Zune Marketplace.
Episode #08 of the VOJ podcast just releases, in iTunes, and at http://voiceoverjourney.libsyn.com . This episode features some timely advice for voice actors and actresses of all levels, from Bobbin Beam! We also received a voice-mail for the show from David Ciccarelli (CEO of Voices.com) who gives more details and some answers about Voices.Com's Platinum membership program and the latest at Voices.com.
I also share some details on some recent studio and podcast consulting that I've paid for, and other upgrades to my studio, workflow, etc.
Count me in Wayne. I'm going through an equipment transition this week and actually find myself 'micless'. As soon as I'm up and talking again, I'll send you a little blurb about how I got 'taken' by a 'voice over pro'.
...and with the help of a very gracious pro, have been given a new (and correct) course to sail, and one of my 'ports-of-call' is VO Universe.
Thanks for the comment Ran. Yes, when you get up and running again, I would love to hear your story and would like to share it on a future Voice-Over Journey podcast. Sounds like it will be VERY helpful to the listeners. When you get your story recorded, please send the mp3 to me at Wayne@WayneLHenderson.com
Greetings,
Thought I'd update you on my equipment changes. I'm now using an Electro Voice RE20 mic (like it alot!), an M-Audio interface and an A R T pro series pre-amp. After rearranging a few clothes in my closet, adding a touch of acoustic foam here and there, I now have a nice little recording studio that is a WHOLE lot quieter than my office. I record into my lap top, then transfer the files to my office computer where I do the editing work using Audacity.
I recently landed a three 'audio' book deal from Key of David Publishing and so far the results are very nice indeed (at least the author thinks so ... and that's who I have to please the most ;o).
Thank you Ran for the update on your equipment. And, that is awesome news about your audio book deal! Congratulations!!!!
When you get a chance, if you would be so kind as to share your VO story with the listeners of the Voice-Over Journey podcast, I think it would be fantastic. Just email the mp3 to Wayne@WayneLHenderson.com
Now that the Holidays are over, I hope to have a new VOJ podcast out within a week, and another in the works for mid-January.
I've just released episode #09 of The Voice-Over Journey podcast at MediaVoiceOvers.com. On this episode I go over some of the exciting changes I have in store for 2009, and remind everyone that I want to share your Voice-Over "Journies" with all the listeners of the podcast. Please send mp3s of your Voice Over story to Wayne@WayneLHenderson, and be part of the show.
