Is anyone using their iPhone or iPad for recording while on the road? If so what are you using as a system and peripherals?

Hi Richard.

Find out which microphones are compatible for the iPhone and iPad in this article 5 iPhone Microphones Reviewed. Ken Theriot, Owner and co-founder of Home Brew Audio, reviews compatible microphones for the iPhone so you don't have to pass on voice-over gigs when you're on the road in this VOX Daily article

Hope this helps!

Thanks Ashley.

A variety of apps have worked well using my ipad 3 and my ipad 1.

They include the following:

  • TwistedWave - The closest I could find that works like Adobe Audition. Imports/Exports using Dropbox App
  • StudioMini XL (studiomini.me) -An 8-track recording studio, with great options.
  • iSaidWhat?! - Quick, easy app that allows you to record, edit, scroll, transfer, you name it! It was only .99
  • Reforge
  • Just in case you need a video recorder/editor, check out the new Avid Studio app!

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Thanks. I'll check them out. I've been using GarageBand with a new Apogee MiC, but being used to ProTools at home, it leaves a lot to be desired.
