Organized By: Teri Clark Linden
Latest Activity: Sep 14, 2009
With the surge in feature film production in Michigan over the past year and half, post-production on films in Detroit is inevitable. As a Voice-Over Talent you need to have the skills and information necessary to compete for jobs in Loop Groups (Talent who provided Additional Dialogue Recording or Replacements once a film is completed.) Through a series of exercises Pamela Lewis (www.talkingfunnyformoney.com) will take participants through what an average Voice-Over Looping Day for a feature film would be, as well as introduce the following:
- Similarities and differences between regular Voice-Over jobs & Looping
- Microphone techniques specific to Looping
- Improvisation specific to Looping and the critical "No's" in Looping improv
- Sound effects specific to Looping
Participants will watch a piece of film footage and then be directed by Pamela at the mic as if in an actual Loop Group.
This condensed workshop is available to only six participants for $120.00 ($100.00 if attending with a partner or in a pair.) Participants are required to purchase Pamela's book ("Talking Funny for Money") and review the Looping section of the book prior to attending (available on Amazon.com.) Requirements: At least one experience recording behind a microphone. Call Teri Clark Linden at 248-421-0681
(Please note: These condensed, intimate workshops were designed by Pamela Lewis & Teri Clark Linden to accommodate actor's schedules & wallets, taking place at a residence rather than recording studio, where most of the workshop cost gets absorbed. If participants are seeking experience in a professional recording studio, then please call Teri for information on the next upcoming voice-over event at RMS recording studios.) Thank you.
